A Nashville weekend with friends
Itineraries · Nashville, TN · 3 days
A 3-day Nashville plan for a group: the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Ryman, hot chicken, Lower Broadway's honky-tonks, 12 South, and a night at the Grand Ole Opry.
Nashville is easy to plan badly: three nights on Broadway and nothing else. This plan spends one night downtown, one at the Opry, and the days in the neighborhoods. It's a good fit for birthday and bachelorette weekends, with ideas the group can split up for.

Tips
- Book the Grand Ole Opry and The Bluebird Cafe ahead; Bluebird reservations open about a week out and go fast.
- Most honky-tonks on Broadway have live music from late morning with no cover. Go early to get a table for a group.
- Hot chicken heat runs high. Order a level lower than you think for the first round.
- Downtown parking is expensive. Walk between downtown stops and take rideshares to the neighborhoods.
