Group camping packing list
Packing lists · 30 items
The hard part of group camping isn't the list, it's knowing who's bringing what. This list splits shared gear (one stove, a couple of coolers) from what everyone packs for themselves, so nothing gets forgotten and nobody brings three lanterns.
Who brings what: 1 person means one person claims it for the group, 2 or 3 people means that many each bring one, and Everyone means each person packs their own.

Tips
- Split food by meal, not by ingredient: one person owns each breakfast or dinner, start to finish.
- Check the campground's rules on fires and food storage before you go; many parks need bear lockers or canisters.
- Bring more water than you think. Many campgrounds and trailheads have none.
